TAMWORTH 2008 - 22 January 2008
Hi! Just back from a flying visit to Tamworth this year...
Yesterday we drove to Tamworth and did the show at the Town Hall with John Stephan last night.
Once again we had a ball! The audience was fantastic, and the band (Sean Rudd on bass, Mal Lancaster on drums, Doug played keyboards and accordian & Bob Howe played guitar) were wonderful.
The show opened with Stuie & Camille who were their usual brilliant selves, and John did the 2nd half, featuring new material from his album that's being released this festival.
Fantastic stuff.
Unfortunately we couldn't stay longer this year, so we headed back towards Sydney straight after the show. Phew!!
The only thing that went wrong was Michel Rose's fall in the street resulting in (maybe) a broken arm. As at the time of the show last night they still weren't sure if it was broken - poor thing!
Hope everyone has a ball in Tamworth this year - if we caught up with you, I hope you enjoyed the show as much as we did, and if not - hopefully we'll see you around the traps during the year, and if not we'll catch up again this time next year.
Take Care,
Donna.x
PS I'm pretty bummed we couldn't stay longer this year - I'm really missing the festival. if you have any great stories or photos, please send them my way - I'd appreciate it.

Southern Stars 2007 - 17 October 2007
Hi everyone!
I was incredibly disappointed when I was unable to co-host the Southern Stars 11th Annual Awards in Mildura on Saturday 6th October due to the flu.
Thanks so much to everyone who sent messages and asked after me - I really appreciate your kindness.
Amber Lawrence stepped in for me at the last minute and did a fantastic job of co-hosting with Marco Gliori, and my husband Doug sent me some GORGEOUS flowers to make me feel better - check out the photo in the Gallery.
I'm finally getting better, and I look forward to seeing you at the Arcadia Rural Fire Brigade's brand new Station Opening on November 4th.
Take Care,
Donna.x

Angels - More Chart Action - 29 August 2007
The Toyota Muster at Gympie - 25 August 2007
Well - we're back safe and sound after an incredibly interesting Muster this year.
This year was my first visit to the Muster, and it was definitely memorable, with record levels of rainfall, mud up to our eyeballs and roads cut off due to flooding.
We arrived on Wednesday to do the show at the Muster Club - fantastic audience and vibe, but LOTS of mud (or so I thought).
On Thursday, we went and bought gum boots before leaving for Amamoor Creek State Forest Park, so we were a little more prepared. It was raining, but everyone was in good spirits and having fun.
On Friday, we went scouting for raincoats before leaving for the Muster! We made it as far as Amamoor (a little village on the edge of the Forest) and there we sat for hours waiting for the OK from the police that we could get through. At some points, there was apparently 0.8m water over the roads, so they were blocked for 4 wheel drives too. The Muster had organised for a 4 wheel drive bus to come out from Fraser Island, however the roads were also closed north and south of Gympie, so instead of arriving by 3:30 in the afternoon, the bus didn't turn up until around 5:30, by which time I had already missed my show. What a bummer! Apparently the bus made continual trips in and out of the Forest, taking musos in and out and finally breaking down around 4am the next morning.
As I write this, I'm still not sure where all members of my band ended up!
They say everyone has an interesting Gympie Muster story, and I have a feeling this will be mine - just can't see how we can top this experience!
